Hi, I live in Hopkinsville, KY and would rate my playing at beginner/ intermediate. I first stated playing in my early teens but never got serious about
playing until I became disabled and lost my job at a local factory.
With so much "free time", I would be interested in getting together with other local players no matter what music genre you enjoy performing as that
is one of the best ways to push yourself to play better.
On my Avitor photo, the guitar on the left is a 2009 Martin MMV, the other is a 2009 Martin 000-15 Mahogany. Both have been upgraded with bone pins and pre-ban
elephant ivory saddles and nuts. I've always liked the tone on the early Martins and I felt these changes combined with age would help get to that tone.
In late September 2009 I was able to purchase a used 2006 000-16GT, making it our third Martin. Believe it or not, the wife said that is enough! She said
nobody has 3 Martins! She seemed pretty serious, but I did just pay to have a new roof on the house and have most of the house painted for her!
Little does she know I have gas for a nice 000-18 or possibly a D-18! (That's what I planned to buy before the house expenses.) I love the tone of those
mahogany Martins!!
I've never owned or played acoustical guitatrs that sounded so GOOD!
